Helena was discovered by an agent at the age 14. She became an international fashion model and for the last 20 years has worked around the world, in Barcelona, Paris, Milan and Japan.

Personal Life & Women's Rights

Helena is now divorced with one child. After leaving an abusive marriage to escape domestic violence she now campaigns for women's rights and promotes awareness of domestic violence, particularly involving young women in multicultural relationships.

Helena's ordeal left her homeless.

Helena's Advice to Women in Abusive Relationships

"Always seek help from official organisations. They can offer you refuge, advice and help you to get back into work. Abuse is always wrong, whether it be physical, emotional or both. Only fear what is happening in the present, don't fear the unknown. Please, make the change before it's too late."
